Firecrackers are enjoyable when handled responsibly. Please follow this guidance every time.

Do

✓ Light crackers only in open, outdoor spaces away from buildings.
✓ Keep a bucket of water and sand nearby at all times.
✓ Light one cracker at a time, at arm's length, and step back.
✓ Adults must supervise all children closely.
✓ Store crackers in a cool, dry place, away from heat and flame.
✓ Wear cotton clothing; avoid loose or synthetic fabrics.

Don't

✕ Do not relight a dud — douse it in water and dispose safely.
✕ Do not hold crackers in hand while lighting (except hand-held sparklers).
✕ Do not keep crackers in your pocket.
✕ Do not light near vehicles, cylinders, or dry material.
✕ Do not let young children handle aerial or sound crackers.
